How to Prime the Water Pump?

After dewinterizing, I ran my water pump for awhile, and it worked fine. I then hooked up to city water, and finished cleaning everything out. When I refilled the water tank, unhooked the city water; the pump now constantly runs, but no water is being pumped. Even the hot water will not pump. I'm not even getting any air through the pipes. How do I get the pump to prime, if that is what the problem is. THANK YOU in advance!

Water Pump problem

I have a new TT. the water pump was working, I filled the water tank up and ran water throught the system to clean out the anti freeze. I then hooked up the city water, and ran more water through the system. OK so far. When i refilled the water tank back up to run the bleach out, the water pump just runs constantly, but no water is pumped. Someone told me to unhook the hose on the outlet side to re prime. Does this sound right, and what is the outlet side? Thanks in advance!

Water Heater Valves

I am de winterizing my water heater, and I noticed there are three valves. Right now, both the valve from the water source and the valve out to the faucets are closed. The third is open. One goes from the water source to the water heater. I know this needs to be opened. The second goes from the water heater to the fauctes. I assume this one needs to be open also. The third, and this is where I'm confused, goes between both of the lines. The line to the water source and the line out to the faucets. Does this one need to be open or closed? Thanks in advance for responding; we have just moved up from a pop up to a travel trailer.

Best way to run water at Dump Station.

After all of these years, I have been filling up a bucket and pouring it down the toilet after dumping the black tank. Someone suggested to have some water in your fresh water tank, then pump it through after dumping. Does this work OK? And I thought I was smert! Learn something every day.

RE: When to use the water pump

This is such a good site, everyone here is so smert! I did learn something here tonight. Is it a good idea to have some water in your tank, then use your water pump for the toilet after you dump? All these years I've been filling up a bucket and dumping it in the toilet after I dump. Thanks for all the great advice!

RE: Replacing Thermostat

THANK YOU for all the responses! I just changed mine with the Hunter #42995B. It took all of 10 minutes. There are only 2 wires on mine since my A/C is on the roof. You all were right, very easy. It works great, by the way. Thanks Again, Steve

Replacing Thermostat

Hello everyone, Let's Get Ready To Camp! I was going to try and replace the "cheap" thermostat on my 24ft TT. I had someone suggest the Hunter 44110....said it only took 20 minutes. My question, is it hard to replace? (do you just match up the color wires?) Also, is one brand better than another? I need it for the furnace, the AC is on the roof. Thanks in advance!

Branson. Mo.

We are going to Branson late summer for our first time. Any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated. Wow, there are so many campgrounds! Any suggestions on these would also be very helpful. We are driving from Kentucky with a 24ft travel trailer. Price is not as much of a concern as quality of campsite. Thanks Again!

RE: Flat screen mount

I am using the Thule Smart RV System. I had the same problem, not being able to find a stud in the wall. I drilled a hole through the side, and put a Thule bracket both inside and outside, connected with a 6 inch long bolt. It went throught the inside holes right through the holes in the outside one. Seems to work just fine. I "caulked" it all real good on the outside.

Rally, Perry Georgia

I am considering going to The Rally in Perry,Georgia. I have never been to one. Is it as good as Good Sam Club says, or is it a bit of a hassle? Also, is it to crowded to put out your awning? Someone told me that they "pack" you in there. I've also heard it takes a long while to get checked in. Thank You in advance for any comments! RV Covers for Winter

First of all, a BIG Thank You to everyone that takes the time to answer all these questions! You Senior Members are GREAT! I have been trying to decide whether to spend the money and rent a slot at a storage shed or buy a cover for the winter in Kentucky. I have the room at my home to park my 24' TT. I have heard that the sheds can draw mice, and it would be 5 miles from my home. I was thinking I might want to do some small projects on my TT if the weather permits. However, I have also heard of TT covers doing damage to the trailer. (Rubbing, Mold etc.) Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Mounting LCD TV on wall.

Has anyone mounted a 20inch (18 lbs) LCD TV to the wall? I'm thinking that if I put the mount in the stud, it will hold OK. Also, can you travel with it mounted, or do you take it down each trip? Thanks in advance for responding.

Have you seen this one?

I need some help on this one. My DW poured the dishwater down our toilet to get more water in the black tank for dumping. However, when she dumped it, a fork was still in the water, and went right down the toilet into the tank. It did not come out when we dumped. Do you think we will have a problem "down the road"? Or will it just lay on the bottom of the tank? HELP from a somewhat newbie.:o

How to get Hitch Weight

Just a quick question, what is the best way to get your Hitch Weight? Do you have to use a public scale, or can you buy a tongue weight scale? I've read where you can use a bathroom scale, but these never seem to be anywhere accurate. Thanks in advance for the info!
